Elderly Male Priorities
The men in my family all living to a very old age,
on my 46th birthday I told my 66-year-old father
I hoped to stay healthy, taking from his book a page.
He replied that getting older was really such a bother,
having to make concessions, to alter your lifestyle,
dieting, taking pills for blood pressure and cholesterol.
Things once done quickly now require spending a while.
Arthritis, heart disease, strokes, cancer – valid concerns all.
But, according to his 89-year-old father, of more importance
is, after reaching age 88, there’s some danger of impotence!
